The 4-4-0 Series Kits

The 4-4-0 Studio is a 2W, push-pull amplifier with a single channel preamp.  This amp is very responsive to the player and cleans up will by just backing off on the guitar's volume.  As with the other Studio projects, should this amplifier be coupled to one of our 1 x 12" cabinets loaded with an efficent 100dB or better speaker, and then cranked to 10, it will make your ears ring.

This project is intended for those who have built amps before.  The circuitry, while deceptively simple, yeilds an amp that is at the threshold of stability, and as such, it is very sensitive to things such as component choice and wire placement.

Tone goes from sparkling clean, to smoothly overdriven, to semi-saturated distortion, depending on pick attack and guitar volume setup. Responds very well to common pedals yet still and retains your guitars tone.

Shipping:

All shipping is via US Postal Service Priority Mail.  I use USPS "flat-rate" boxes to minimize your shipping costs when I can.
Deliveries to the continental US usually take 2-3 days, International shipments take 6-10 days.  I fill out custom forms for all overseas shipments and put the actual value of the kits on them.  The buyer is responsible for any customs/import duties or fees charged by the destination country.
Generally, it is much more expensive to ship the kits with a chassis than it is to aquire one locally due to "oversize" shipping costs.  Therefore, kits shipping overseas do not include a chassis.

International:   $55.00
